Day 3

Forcing ourselves to be up at 8 or after we came alive for another day. We ate the left over omelette for breakfast and then did some internet work. After hooking up with Clarisse we headed to Notre Dame. When we arrived there was a huge line to even enter the church. We decided to skip the long wait to see the interior and took an outdoor tour. It was after all, not raining!

We ended up at the bridge of locks (one of many). How intriguing. Lovers started the fad to seal their love by putting a lock on the bridge fencing. Now it is covered in locks and creating a hazard with the weight of all the locks. One bridge had a portion end up falling into the Seine.

We found a quaint restaurant after a stroll around the neighborhood. Anne had a traditional soupe a l'oignon and I ate une salad avec chevre chaud. Clarisse had some marinated duck and let me taste. It was fabulous.

We parted ways with Clarisse then Anne and I made it back to the hotel by ourselves! Yeah. The metro was feeling more comfortable.
